Laundry Management

Having 5 children, we have a lot of laundry. Here is a simple tip that has helped in keeping up on the laundry. The frequency for your laundering is up to you, but to make the task easier, keep the kids laundry in their own baskets. When you decide to do laundry, choose one or two rooms to do at a time. I do one room at a time because my children share rooms and have enough laundry to split the load into a light and dark load. If you stick to only one room at a time, the put away process is much quicker. I put away laundry much faster if it is all going back into the same room.

Furniture Basics for Bedrooms

I'm sure most of you know this, but when I was first married, I knew nothing about arranging rooms. I have learned over the years that the best way to arrange a bedroom is so that the bed faces the door in some way. Every room needs a focal point. Have your bed be your main focal point when you enter the room.

For children's rooms, it is helpful to have a laundry basket and a waste paper basket.
